Chris Carrier’s Adult Only Records introduces new German partnership Micha klang + Kuroneko and ‘Anytime You Please’, two driving cuts of dirty tech  grooves with a moodenhancing remix from Shonky.

Kicking off with a raw bass beat and sleazy b-line, ‘Anytime You Please’ starts as it means to go on, geared firmly towards the dancefloor at its heady peak. The pumping groove underpins the old school vocal and the rave chimes as the track delves a little deeper with emotive pads set against the solid force of the beat.

Another massive club record follows in b-side ‘Faith’, a classy cut of tech house that will destroy the floor with its monster bassline and rhythmic drumming. Frenchman Shonky steps up for remix duty injecting ‘Anytime You Please’ with a blissful blend of rapture and soul. Keeping up the drive, swirling pads and electronic melodies elevate the original out of the warehouse and onto the terrace.

Micha Klang is known as one of the driving forces behind house music in the South of Germany, promoting his own events in hometown Nuremberg, co-founding Paso Music and later Glückskind Schallplatten with Jürgen Kirsch. Micha’s Mothership parties became a leading club night in the area and travelled to many of the best festivals in Europe including Sonne Mond Sterne and Liberty One. The success of his promotions led Micha to pursue production and in 2003, Micha, along with friends Joachim Spalleck and DJ Sebrok released their first EP on Bash Music. Follow up productions were picked up by labels Safari numérique, Off Recordings, Room 9 and a new Berlin based company named Clap Your Hands.

Half Japanese-German, Kitaro Beeh aka Kuroneko is a sound engineer and a DJ from Düsseldorf. Also throwing parties in his hometown, ‘Anytime You Please’ is his debut EP.  Kitaro started off doing mixdowns for Micha but they clearly hit it off on a deeper level in the studio, as this year they formed an alliance of technical prowess and experience, Micha Klang + Kuroneko. The duo now has three more cuts in the pipeline as well as a remix for Safari Numérique. |
